AI Research Engineer for Enhanced Viewer Engagement

LEBUL is seeking a talented Research Engineer specializing in AI for Enhanced Viewer Engagement. This role focuses on leveraging advances in AI technology to adapt to the ever-evolving landscape of second-screen experiences in film/television and new media. In this dynamic role, you will develop and implement AI-driven solutions to create interactive, immersive, and personalized viewer experiences. Collaborate with LEBUL's film/television and new media divisions to integrate state-of-the-art AI technologies into multi-screen environments, enhancing audience engagement and creating groundbreaking content experiences.

Responsibilities

AI Innovation for Viewer Engagement: Research and develop novel AI algorithms and techniques to enhance viewer engagement through interactive and personalized content experiences across multiple screens.

Second Screen Integration: Design and implement AI-driven solutions that seamlessly integrate second screen experiences with primary content, ensuring a cohesive and immersive viewer experience.

Cross-Division Collaboration: Work closely with LEBUL's film/television and new media teams to identify opportunities for AI integration, optimizing content for interactive and personalized multi-screen experiences.

Content Enhancement: Utilize AI to analyze and process content, enabling real-time adaptations and enhancements that cater to individual viewer preferences and behaviors.

Algorithm Development: Implement and optimize AI algorithms using Python and relevant tools, applying your research, coding, and problem-solving skills to real-world scenarios.

Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and second-screen technologies, actively contributing to the research community through publications and presentations.

Collaborative Projects: Participate in cross-functional projects, sharing knowledge and insights and actively collaborating with research and development teams.

Required Qualifications

Education: Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related fields, proven expertise, and a record of relevant scientific publications in AI or a related area.

Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of AI algorithms, machine learning, and deep learning techniques, focusing on applications in viewer engagement and multi-screen experiences.

Programming Proficiency: Expertise in Python programming and experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, as well as content analysis and processing tools.

AI & Content Processing: Experience developing and applying AI techniques to analyze and enhance content for interactive and personalized experiences

Preferred Qualifications

Generative Models: Familiarity with generative models such as diffusion models and autoregressive models, as well as their application in content creation and enhancement.

Industry Experience: Experience in the field of AI, viewer engagement, or content creation within an industry context.

Entertainment Industry Knowledge: Understanding of workflows in the entertainment industry, including film, television, and new media production.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Proven experience working with cross-functional teams in an international environment.

Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Software Engineering: Extensive experience in coding and software engineering, focusing on high-performance, maintainable code. Proficiency in Python, C++, and CUDA. Familiarity with HPC (distributed computing) and ServerAdmin.

Digital Content Creation Tools: Experience using digital content creation GUI tools like Unreal Engine, Unity, and Blender, including plugin development.
